Humbatov Samir Nazim oglu was born on 18.11.1987 in the village of Gayabashi, Sheki region. In 1993, he was admitted to the secondary school of Gayabashi village, Sheki region and graduated from that school in 2004. From January 2006 to July 2007, he served in the military unit No. N of the national army located in the territory of the Aghdam-Aghjabedi regions. In 2010, he was admitted to the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, specializing in French language teaching, and graduated in 2014. In 2015-2016, he worked at Unibank KB OJSC. In 2017-2019, he worked at the “Gold Glass” company. In accordance with the agreement signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in 1995, in 2019, I was admitted to the Master’s degree program in the “International Relations” specialty at the Faculty of World Politics and World Economy of the Higher School of Economics-National Research University located in Moscow, Russian Federation and graduated in 2021. In the 2023/2024 academic year, I was admitted to the doctoral degree program in the “Political Sciences and International Relations” specialty at the Institute of Social Sciences of Dumlupınar University located in Kütahya, Republic of Turkey and am currently studying at that university.
Since the beginning of 2020, I have actively begun to strengthen and expand my activities in the field of political and analytical analysis. Currently, I continue my activities in the mentioned field. On 10.01.2022, he founded the “International Relations and Diplomatic Studies” public association, of which he is the co-founder and head, and the association he founded was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 30.05.2023. On 18.04.2023, he was elected a member of the editorial board of the political-analytical publication London Post of Great Britain, as well as a political expert on the South Caucasus and the Middle East. On 11.09.2023, he began working as a teacher at Azerbaijan University and continues his work to this day. Currently, he continues to teach undergraduate students at Azerbaijan University in the following subjects: “Foreign Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “Fundamentals of National Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “International Security”, “Modern Conflicts and Peace Process”, “European Union Policy in the South Caucasus”, “Political Technologies”, “Political Activity and Political Culture”, “Introduction to International Relations”, “Fundamentals of Diplomacy”, “Modern Diplomacy” and other subjects. For information, it can be noted that the “Zangezur” international scientific conference, which he founded and headed, was established in August 2023, and the “Turan” international scientific conference was established in November. The “Zangezur” international scientific conference was held on September 26, 2023, and the “Turan” international scientific conference was held on December 2, 2023, and the books of both conferences were published.
From 2021 to 2024, he was a participant and speaker at more than a hundred local and international conferences, symposiums, as well as other platforms. During this period, more than thirty scientific and analytical articles have been published both domestically and abroad. On May 18, 2021, he delivered an extensive lecture under the title “Regional Struggle in the South Caucasus and the Middle East” at the VI Middle East Symposium organized by Istanbul Gelişim University, Republic of Turkey. On September 7, 2023, he delivered a lecture on the changing balances in the South Caucasus after the Second Karabakh War and their political, economic and military effects at the conference organized by the “Center for Eurasian Studies” located in the Republic of Turkey. In June 2023, a scientific-analytical article on the topic “Azerbaijan’s Foreign Policy from the First Karabakh War to the Patriotic War” was published in the Turkish World History magazine published by the “Turkish Danyası Faculty of Economics”. In June 2023, an English article entitled “Impacts of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan-Türkiye relations on the future of the Turkish World” was published in the book “Organization of Turkic States: Politics, Economics, Cultural collaborations and 2040 vision”, published with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Turkey. As the head of the Center for International Relations and Diplomatic Studies, he delivered a lecture on the topic “Influence of regional and non-regional states in conflicts in the Middle East and South Caucasus” at the “I International Middle East Scientific Conference of the Presidential Academy” held in Moscow, Russian Federation on May 14, 2024.
